Below is a brief description of a few of the services offered in our office.

Periodontal Therapy

Most adults have some degree of gum disease. Usually it progresses slowly and can be stopped from getting worse. If plaque and tarter is left on the teeth, it provides the right conditions for bacteria to thrive, and can cause inflammation that works its way down the tooth causing a ‘periodontal pocket’ and bone loss. To stop gum disease from progressing, we may advise periodontal therapy, or ‘deep’ cleaning.

Crowns and Bridges

When a tooth is cracked, decayed or damaged, a crown may be needed. Crowns fit over the original tooth, and can be made of porcelain, gold or other metals. A bridge actually ‘bridges the gap’ between one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made by creating a crown for the teeth on either side of a missing tooth and a ‘pontic’ replacing the missing tooth.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal treatment is done when decay will likely (or has already) damaged the nerve of the tooth. A root canal also treats an infection that has developed into an abscessed tooth. The pulp from the center of the tooth is removed and is filled with sterile material.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are used in many ways, such as replacing single or multiple teeth, or as anchors to keep dentures or removable partials from slipping or moving. The implant consists of a titanium post that is placed into the jaw, and once healed, it is restored with an implant crown.

Invisalign (Clear Braces)

The Invisalign method uses a custom made series of aligners, made of smooth, comfortable invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, with no metal brackets or wires to tighten.
